Accountant

A dynamic and rapidly growing e-commerce company operating in the beauty and wellness industry is looking for a detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join the company. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the financial records, preparing reports, forecasting financial performance, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. Responsibilities: • Prepare and edit the organization's quarterly and annual financial reports, including the balance sheet and profit and loss statement. • Create and review reports for short periods to analyze the organization's current financial situation. • Conduct financial forecasts for short and long periods, providing valuable insights for strategic decision-making. • Oversee the development of the organization's full budget and monitor spending to align with planned objectives. • Supervise the accounting processes, internal controls, and ensure accurate and timely tax payments (VAT, income tax, duties, national insurance). • Manage debt collection efforts, ensuring timely and efficient recovery of outstanding payments. • Play a significant role in the finance department, providing accurate financial information to support informed decision-making within the organization. • Contribute to the organization's success by providing essential financial insights that aid in making sound and beneficial decisions. Requirements: • Proven experience as a Financial Accountant, preferably in an e-commerce or retail environment. • Strong expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. • Excellent analytical skills to evaluate financial data and identify trends and opportunities. • Proficiency in accounting software and tools. • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities. • Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance requirements. • Effective communication skills to collaborate with finance team members and other departments. • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential financial information with discretion. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
